Job Description
Job Summary:
We're on the hunt for a skilled VoIP Technician to join our tech-forward crew. If you're fluent in SIP, love diving into packet captures, and know your way around hosted PBX systems like BroadSoft, Netsapiens, and Asterisk — let’s talk. Bonus points if you enjoy solving tricky network issues, providing white-glove support, and seeing a clean install through from start to finish.
What You'll Do:
-
Answer and respond to inbound support calls from clients.
-
Work the helpdesk queue, troubleshooting VoIP, networking, and system issues.
-
Provision, configure, and troubleshoot hosted PBX services (BroadSoft, Netsapiens, Asterisk).
-
Analyze SIP call flows and registration problems using Wireshark and packet tools.
-
Perform onsite installations, cutovers, and support visits when needed.
-
Set up and configure IP phones (Yealink, Polycom, Cisco), ATAs, softphones, and SBCs.
-
Configure networking gear (firewalls, switches, routers) for optimal VoIP performance (QoS, VLANs, NAT, port forwarding).
-
Assist with number porting, carrier troubleshooting, and new customer onboarding.
-
Use ConnectWise PSA for ticketing, documentation, and time tracking.
-
Collaborate with other departments to resolve escalations and ensure smooth deployment.
-
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency support.
What You Bring:
-
2+ years of hands-on experience with VoIP systems and support.
-
Deep understanding of SIP protocol, call routing, and VoIP diagnostics.
-
Experience with BroadSoft, Netsapiens, and/or Asterisk platforms.
-
Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, NAT, firewalls, QoS).
-
Skilled in Wireshark and packet analysis.
-
Proficient with ConnectWise PSA or a similar platform.
-
Clear communicator, both written and verbal — customer service matters.
-
Organized, responsive, and comfortable working independently or in a team.
-
Must be able to travel locally for onsite installs and support as needed.
Nice to Have:
-
Certifications such as Network+, SSCA, or similar.
-
Experience with SBCs (AudioCodes, Ribbon).
-
Familiarity with Linux CLI for Asterisk or hosted system tuning.
-
Telecom provisioning knowledge (porting, LNP, CNAM, e911).
-
Remote tools like VPN, SSH, and RDP.
What We Offer:
-
401(k) with company match
-
Health, dental, and vision insurance
-
Company-paid life insurance
-
Paid vacation and holidays
-
Free lunch every Friday
-
Tech-inspired workspace
-
A laid-back, supportive culture with a team that knows their stuff
