Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services within K-12 school settings in the Stuart, FL area. This position offers both full-time and part-time schedules with assignments primarily at one campus, supporting students from elementary through high school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to K-12 students, including those in specialized programs such as Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) and Inclusive Education (InD) units.
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines.
- Support multiple schools as assigned, with caseloads varying by location.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Florida licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Experience working in K-12 educational environments.
- Strong assessment and therapeutic skills across a range of communication disorders.
- Ability to work independently and manage caseload effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Locations and Assignments Include:
- Middle school placements with a schedule focused on multiple days per week.
- Elementary and K-8 school settings incorporating DHH support.
- Evaluation teams providing assessments within district facilities.
This contract role begins as soon as possible and extends through the 2025-2026 school year, with flexible assignment locations and scheduling options.
