StartDate: 11/3/2025 Available Shifts: 7.5 D Pay Rate: $1793.55 - $1965.27

AMN Healthcare is partnering with a school district in Sarasota Florida that is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Occupational Therapist (OT) to join its Exceptional Student Education (ESE) team. The OT will support students with disabilities in achieving independence and success in the school environment through direct services, consultation, and collaboration with educators and families.Key Responsibilities include - Conduct evaluations for students referred for ESE services and prepare comprehensive reports.Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals.Deliver direct and consultative therapy services across school settings.Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to support student participation and access.Provide training and resources to school personnel on strategies and accommodations.Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning.Maintain documentation in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines.Support district-wide initiatives such as Response to Intervention (RTI).Requisition and manage therapy equipment and supplies.Attend professional development workshops and maintain licensure.Living in Sarasota: Outdoor Fun & AttractionsSarasota offers a coastal lifestyle with abundant outdoor activities and cultural experiences:Outdoor Activities Nearby:Myakka River State Park – Canoeing, hiking, birdwatching, and canopy walks.Oscar Scherer State Park – Swimming, biking, and kayaking.Legacy Trail – A scenic 12-mile trail for walking, running, and cycling.Siesta Key & Lido Key – Top-rated beaches with kayaking through mangrove tunnels.Venice Beach – Famous for fossilized shark tooth hunting.Notable Attractions Within 1.5 Hours:Busch Gardens Tampa Bay – Theme park with rides and animal exhibits.Clearwater Beach – White sand beaches and dolphin cruises.St. Petersburg – Salvador Dali Museum and vibrant downtown arts scene.Venice Historic Downtown – Charming shops and dining.Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium – Interactive marine exhibits.

Required Qualifications
Occupational Therapist, SchoolOccupational Therapist, School
Licenses: FL

Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
Active Occupational Therapy (OT) license in FL

Preferred Qualifications
Initial certification through NBCOT
Clear, articulate communication skills
Ability to explain results to a varied audience
Candidates with previous school experience a plus!
Completion of a criminal record and background check
