West Palm Beach, FL | Full-Time | Office-Based

Position Summary
Join a collaborative mechanical engineering team supporting commercial and institutional building system projects across Florida. This role is ideal for a licensed PE with 8+ years of experience who enjoys solving technical challenges, leading project delivery, and contributing to a high-performing and tight-knit group. You’ll work in a fast-paced, low-bureaucracy environment where initiative and practical thinking are valued.

Basic Qualifications
8+ years of mechanical design experience in HVAC and MEP systems
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and standard design/engineering tools
Strong technical communication, field coordination, and documentation skills
Ability to handle projects from concept through completion

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a consulting engineering or design/build environment
Familiarity with Florida building codes and permitting processes
Field experience or site visit familiarity

Key Responsibilities
Design and engineer HVAC systems for commercial and institutional buildings
Perform load calculations, system layouts, and equipment selections
Lead projects and coordinate across disciplines from schematic to final design
Visit job sites as needed to support field verification and client coordination
Provide mentorship to junior designers and support project management
Collaborate with architects, clients, and contractors for efficient project delivery
Ensure code compliance, quality control, and timely documentation
Participate in design reviews and respond to RFIs during construction
