POSITION SUMMARY: The Building Maintenance Technician keeps the physical
structure, appearance and associated equipment of the Club in good repair and working order by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be
assigned:
• Performs repairs in electrical to include light switches, receptacles, breakers, motors, a
light fixtures, bulbs, ballasts/drivers, and ceiling fns.
• May work on the Marina docks (does not work on boats) to make electrical repairs to power pedestal breakers and outlets.
• Performs repairs in plumbing to include faucets, sinks, drains, toilets, urinals, flush valves and water valves. Clears plumbing blockages using a plunger, hand snake or electrical drain snake.
• Performs general repairs in carpentry to include cabinet repairs, wood and metal door and door hinges, closures, locksets, light furniture repairs, picture and mirror
installation, shelving installation, etc ...
• Performs repairs in painting to include small drywall repairs, priming and final coats of paint with usage of brush, roller or sprayer.
• Pressure cleans buildings, walkways, cart paths, and assists in cart storage drain line jetting.
• Performs or assists in preventative maintenance programs.
• Drives a golf cart or company van.
• Maintains workshop and clean working environment.
• Performs and additional tasks as requested by the Director of Engineering.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma, GED or trade school certification. 3-5 years of experience in Building Maintenance. Must be able to use power tools at a safe operational level. Must have
excellent oral and written communication skills .. Knowledge in marina power pedestal
breakers and outlets a plus.
Certifications, Licenses:
Valid driver's license
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to understand, interpret and follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to feel, handle and operate; reach with hands and arms; and see, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, bend, kneel, climb, crawl into small spaces, push, pull, reach and occasionally lift and/or move 50 lbs, use of step ladders, extension ladders, and 6ft scaffolding,
Work Environment:
Job consists of both inside and outside work. Precautions should be taken for work performed outside for extended periods of time.
Additional Comments:
Must be at least 18 years old and available to work a varied schedule that includes weekends and holidays. Must provide own hand tools. Club will provide power or battery type tools.
