Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Generator Technician to join our Bartow team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine maintenance and repair, with the ability to troubleshoot and service a variety of generator systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on industrial generators and related equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
- Install and commission new generator units and automatic transfer switches (ATS)
- Conduct load bank testing and inspections per NFPA 110 and UL standards
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate findings with customers and dispatch
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company standards
- Participate in on-call rotation and emergency service response
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience servicing industrial generators (e.g., Caterpillar, Cummins, John Deere, Kohler)
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
- Familiarity with DSE, Deep Sea, or similar controller systems
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in varying environments
- Electrical certification or diesel tech degree preferred but not required
