Location: Hollywood, FL
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Must be flexible for emergencies)
Compensation: $180,000 – $250,000/year (commensurate with experience)
Travel: Required to multiple sites across Florida
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Facilities Management to lead and oversee operations across a diverse and expansive property portfolio totaling over 1.6 million square feet. This individual will be responsible for implementing a proactive, standardized facilities and grounds management program across multiple campuses and reservation sites throughout Florida, ensuring efficiency, safety, and operational excellence.
This role is ideal for senior-level facilities professionals with a track record of managing multiple locations under one organization, such as college campuses or multi-site healthcare systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of facilities and grounds maintenance programs across all sites
- Manage a large team with diverse trades and specialties, ensuring performance standards are met
- Oversee third-party vendor contracts related to building maintenance, repairs, and infrastructure services
- Implement strategic facility management systems that emphasize preventative maintenance and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align facilities management with organizational priorities
- Serve as a key leader during emergencies, including active participation in emergency operations
- Develop reporting systems for tracking maintenance, repairs, compliance, and performance metrics
- Ensure that all facilities meet safety, regulatory, and operational standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, Planning, Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of progressive experience in facilities, construction, or property management
- 5+ years in a senior or management-level facilities role
- Proven experience managing large-scale operations across multiple properties or campuses
- Advanced knowledge of building systems, infrastructure, and engineering principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and facilities software systems
- Valid Florida driver’s license and willingness to travel to multiple sites statewide
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays, when necessary
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Certifications (not required):
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM)
- Facility Management Professional (FMP)
- Building Operator Certification (BOC)
