Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our team. The Caregiver will provide essential in-home care services, assisting clients with daily living activities, personal care, and companionship to ensure their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility support.

  • Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in clients’ physical and mental health to the care coordinator or supervisor.

  • Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful activities, such as conversation, games, or outings, to promote emotional well-being.

  • Household Assistance: Perform light housekeeping tasks, including meal preparation, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

  • Medication Reminders: Assist clients with medication schedules as per care plans (non-administrative).

  • Transportation: Accompany clients to appointments or errands, if needed, ensuring safe and reliable transport.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided, including daily activities and observations, in compliance with company policies.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with family members, healthcare professionals, and the Boca General Home Care team to ensure coordinated care.

Qualifications

  • Certification: Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in the state of Florida.

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in home care, assisted living, or a related healthcare setting preferred.

  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient demeanor.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients with mobility (up to 50 lbs), and perform physical tasks as needed.

  • Background Check: Must pass a Level 2 background screening as required by Florida state regulations.

  • Licenses: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

  • Training: Current CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.

Work Environment

  • Work primarily takes place in clients’ homes within the Boca Raton area.

  • Flexible scheduling, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on client needs.
