Job Description

We're looking for a Miami-based Legal Administrative Assistant to join a new and fast-growing AI-enabled insurance brokerage that's changing the way small and midsize businesses purchase insurance.


This is not your grandparents' insurance brokerage. Not that there's anything wrong with your grandparents...we love them. We just don't love how confusing and full of holes the commercial and health insurance-buying process can be for SMBs and individuals who need it.

About the position:

The Legal Administrative Assistant (LAA) is highly organized and proactive. The LAA must enjoy working in a hyper-speed environment and be flexible in navigating competing priorities in a start-up environment. Reporting directly to the Director of Legal Operations, the candidate will manage the calendar, communications, travel arrangements, and administrative tasks for the Chief Legal Officer (CLO). The ideal candidate will be a strategic partner for the Legal Operations team and know how to hit the ground running.


Compensation, Benefits, Location:

  • 100% employer-paid healthcare
  • Base salary DOE $75,000-$90,000 annually + annual bonus opportunity
  • Two weeks PTO annually, one week paid sick annually, 14 days paid federal holidays
  • Schedule flexibility
  • Beautiful, central office location in Brickell area of Miami


Responsibilities:

  • Provide day to day administrative support to the CLO and the Legal Operations team
  • Help coordinate multi-time zone meetings and conference calls
  • Act as a gatekeeper of the CLO in managing time and emails
  • Manage a heavy and complex calendar
  • Coordinate travel arrangements
  • Prepare CLO’s expense report
  • Create various communication materials, such as agendas, memos, letters
  • Managing sensitive information with high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Manage various ad hoc office projects as needed
  • Other duties may be assigned from time to time by Director of Legal Operations or General Counsel to support the Company’s overall objectives.


Licensing/Certification Requirements: N/A


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in an assistant role
  • Corporate legal assistance experience is a must
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
  • High degree of professionalism and business acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Highly organized and able to work on multiple priorities
  • Ability to adapt and switch gears to changing business needs
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Discretion and ability to handle confidential information
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
