Schedule
- Minimum billable requirement: 1,800 hours
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $145,000 – $165,000+, commensurate with experience
- Annual billables bonus: Up to $50,000
- Comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare coverage and PTO
About the Role
This position involves working on complex insurance coverage litigation, including:
- Commercial first-party insurance
- Reinsurance
- Third-party liability
- Professional liability
- Bad faith coverage disputes
The role includes responsibility for motion practice, coverage opinions, discovery, and client communications, working as part of a collaborative team within a nationally prominent practice.
Requirements
- JD from an accredited law school with above-average academic credentials
- Admission to practice law in the State of Florida
- Minimum of 3 years of private practice experience
- Recent experience litigating complex insurance defense matters
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Admission to multiple state jurisdictions a plus
- Litigation experience handling insurance coverage matters across all phases, from pre-litigation management through motion practice and settlement or trial
- Strong legal writing skills with advanced legal research and analytical proficiency
