Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized, friendly, and professional individual to join our dental team as a Front Desk Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, collecting co-payments, managing patient records, and ensuring efficient front office operations. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Answer Incoming Calls: Greet patients and callers in a friendly and professional manner, addressing inquiries and directing calls to appropriate staff members.
- Check-in & Check-out: Welcome patients upon arrival, check them in and out, and ensure all required paperwork is completed.
- Schedule & Confirm Appointments: Manage patient appointment schedules, including scheduling new appointments, rescheduling, and confirming upcoming appointments.
- Paperwork Management: Prepare and organize patient charts, referral forms, appointment cards, welcome packets, and treatment plan documents.
- Financial Collections: Collect co-payments, past due balances, and process payments on the date of service.
- Financial Policies: Clearly present and explain financial policies and payment arrangements to patients.
- Patient Flow Management: Use proper call-back systems to facilitate efficient patient flow and reduce wait times.
- Insurance Verification: Identify, reference, and apply insurance coverage and billing information, ensuring accurate processing.
- Computer Functions: Utilize dental practice management software for scheduling, patient records, and billing.
- Professional Conduct: Maintain a high standard of professionalism and courtesy at all times when interacting with patients, team members, and vendors.
- Additional Duties: Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Office Manager or practice leadership.

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a front desk or customer service role, preferably in a dental or healthcare setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with dental office procedures, terminology, and insurance practices preferred.
- Proficient in basic computer functions, including experience with dental software or scheduling systems (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
