Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers an opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide health room coverage in a K-12 school setting located in Deland, FL. This contract runs throughout the current school year and requires a commitment from November 3rd through May 28th. The role involves working approximately 35 billable hours per week within the school district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide health room coverage, assessing and addressing student health needs.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and document student health conditions and coordinate care with school staff and parents.
- Respond to emergencies following established protocols.
- Maintain accurate health records and comply with school health policies.
Qualifications:
- Current license as an LPN or LVN.
- Experience working in a school health environment is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple health-related tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of pediatric health concerns and first aid procedures.
Location:
- District-wide with primary placement in Deland, FL.
