Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Serve as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in diverse K-12 school settings within the Fort Pierce and Port St. Lucie, FL areas for the 2025-2026 school year. This contract position offers full-time and part-time opportunities to work directly with students across multiple campuses, supporting speech and language development in both general and specialized education settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to K-12 students in various schools, including middle and K-8 campuses.
- Collaborate with educational teams to support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including those in InD units and DHH cluster sites.
- Conduct evaluations and assessments as needed, particularly for private school students, requiring a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- Manage caseloads effectively, often being the sole SLP onsite during service days.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and district regulations.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida SLP licensure required.
- CCC-SLP certification preferred for evaluation responsibilities.
- Experience working in school-based settings K-12, including individualized and group therapy.
- Ability to work independently across multiple campuses.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, students, and families.
Location:
- Primarily Fort Pierce and Port St. Lucie, FL schools.
- Assignments include Dan McCarty Middle School, Forest Grove Middle School, Oak Hammock K-8, and district office for evaluations.
This position is fully on-site with no remote or hybrid options. Full and part-time schedules available depending on assignment needs. Most assignments will be at a single campus, with some requiring travel between sites within the district.
