Position: Bankruptcy Paralegal
Location: Broward County, FL (In-person)
Job Type: Full-time
A well-established Broward County law firm is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal to support our bankruptcy attorney with case management and court filings. This is a great career opportunity at a firm committed to delivering superior legal representation.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor bankruptcy timelines and deadlines
- Communicate with clients, trustees, and mediators
- Prepare and file bankruptcy petitions for Southern, Northern, and Middle Districts of Florida
- Draft plans, motions, amendments, and orders
- Manage schedules and calendars of bankruptcy events
- Handle bankruptcy accounting including fees, trustee ledgers, and payments
- Research liens, creditors, properties, and related exemptions
- Organize documents, mail, and certificates of service
- Provide regular reports and updates to supervising attorney
Requirements:
- Previous Florida bankruptcy experience required
- Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
- Commitment to professional ethics and client service
