Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team, specializing in the design and analysis of amusement rides for theme parks. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of safe and innovative ride systems, ensuring they meet industry standards and provide exhilarating experiences for guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyze mechanical systems and components for amusement rides.
- Conduct stress analysis to ensure structural integrity and safety of ride designs.
- Develop new ride control systems, including PLC-5 and CLX integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure ride designs meet all safety standards and regulations.
- Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks for the creation of detailed engineering drawings and models.
- Perform testing and validation of ride components to ensure optimal performance under various conditions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to incorporate new technologies into ride design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably in the amusement park industry.
- Strong knowledge of stress analysis methods and safety standards for amusement rides.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks software for designing mechanical systems.
- Experience with ride control systems and PLC programming (PLC-5, CLX, GLX) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with UL 508A standards and other relevant regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
