We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in complex commercial litigation matters pending in both state and federal courts. This role requires a high level of independence, strong litigation knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive litigation support in commercial matters from pre-litigation through trial and post-judgment.
- Prepare, draft, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence in state and federal courts.
- Manage electronic and paper filings, including e-filing in state and federal court systems (e.g., CM/ECF).
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of discovery, including document collection, review, production, and tracking.
- Assist with deposition preparation, including organizing exhibits, summaries, and witness materials.
- Support trial preparation, including trial binders, exhibits, witness lists, and coordination with vendors.
- Conduct legal research and factual investigation as needed.
- Maintain and manage case files, deadlines, and litigation calendars to ensure compliance with court rules and scheduling orders.
- Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and internal teams.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior paralegals and legal support staff as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a strong focus on commercial litigation.
- Demonstrated experience handling matters in both state and federal courts.
- Proficiency with e-filing systems, litigation support software, and document management platforms.
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, rules of civil procedure, and court deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Paralegal certificate and/or relevant degree preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Trial and arbitration support experience.
- Experience coordinating large-scale or complex litigation matters
- Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, high-volume environment.
