We are looking for a motivated, self-starting, HVAC Controls Technician with experience who would like to move to Building Automation. Installation, diagnoses, and repair of environmental-comfort systems.
Responsibilities:
- Install and service products and equipment for various assigned projects.
- Use a variety of tools as well as a laptop computer to install, diagnose, repair, and program HVAC/Building Automation Control equipment.
- Identify, analyze, diagnose and repair instruments and products at project site.
- Performs preventive maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
- Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary.
- Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need.
- Provide consistent and clear communication with internal and external customers.
Qualifications:
- Professional attitude.
- Minimum 2 to 5 years’ HVAC Controls experience with strong troubleshooting experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Perform work from ladders, lifts, and scaffolds, Carry loads in excess of 25 LBS.
- This position requires the ability to work outside and in unconditioned environments as needed.
- Knowledge of basic construction site and electrical safety.
- Basic computer skills including MS Word and Excel.
- Basic understanding of IT and Networking principles and practices
- Experience within the Niagara AX or N4 environment and, Distech, JCI are preferred.
- Willingness to learn new HVAC control lines, software and new concepts.
- Basic knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment, AHU’s, VAV’s, boilers, chillers etc.
- Motivated team player with a customer focused attitude.
