Commercial Electrical Service Technician
Company: Client of Brave New World Search Group
Type: Full-time • Field-based • OT-eligible
Pay: $30.00–$33.00/hour (DOE)
Role Summary
Handle commercial service calls, troubleshoot quickly, and close tickets cleanly. You’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems in occupied facilities while keeping work NEC-compliant, safe, documented, and on time.
What You’ll Do
Respond to commercial service calls; perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs.
Install, maintain, and repair panels, transformers, lighting, conduit, and wiring.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specs.
Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize reliability and safety.
Work to NEC and company safety standards at all times.
Document work performed, materials used, and recommendations in clear service notes.
Communicate professionally with customers, GCs, and internal teams to keep jobs moving.
Maintain company vehicle, tools, and test equipment in safe working order.
Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies (as needed).
Qualifications
4–5+ years of commercial electrical service experience.
Strong working knowledge of commercial systems, codes, and safety practices.
Able to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple service calls.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Nice to Have (Preferred)
State Journeyman Electrician license.
Proficiency with multimeters, megger/insulation testers, and circuit tracers.
Comfortable with ladders/lifts and basic conduit bending/fabrication.
