Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Applicants must hold current ASL certification and meet Florida state and local education requirements. Only certified candidates will be considered.

Requirements:

• Valid ASL certification (such as EIPA, RID, or NAD)

• Must meet Florida DOE or district interpreter standards

• Experience in school settings strongly preferred

• Proficiency in expressive and receptive ASL

• Able to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families

Job Duties:

• Interpret classroom instruction and school activities in ASL for deaf/hard-of-hearing students

• Facilitate communication between students, staff, and peers

• Support student IEP goals

• Attend IEP meetings and participate in educational planning
