We are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our team in Miami, Florida, on a contract basis that can become permanent for the right person. This role requires a strong background in Bodily Injury cases and civil litigation, as well as proficiency in managing legal documentation and schedules. As part of our dynamic legal team, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and effective case management.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
• Handle electronic filings with court systems and ensure timely submission of required documents.
• Manage and maintain calendars, including scheduling depositions, appointments, and court hearings.
• Coordinate with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient communication and scheduling.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
• Assist with personal injury case management, specifically Bodily Injury claims.
• Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record keeping.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with court and procedural requirements.
• Conduct research and compile information to support case preparation.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, ideally with a focus on Bodily Injury and Personal Injury.
• Proficiency in electronic filing systems and court procedures.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules and deadlines.
• Familiarity with personal injury law and case management practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to draft and prepare legal documents with attention to detail.
• Experience with scheduling depositions and appointments.
• Proficient in using calendaring tools and legal software
