Headquartered in Florida and established 20+ years ago, we are a leading manufacturer of automated machinery, primarily in packaging for food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, personal care and household products. Our team continues to grow and we are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems and components for various projects, ensuring efficiency and compliance with industry standards. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems and components according to project specifications.
  • Conduct analysis and simulations to ensure system performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical designs with mechanical and software components.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, diagrams, and reports.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in existing systems and machinery.
  • Utilize CAD software to create detailed design layouts and schematics.
  • Support production and packaging teams with electrical equipment and automation needs.
  • Participate in project planning and timeline development to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, AutoCAD, and design tools.
  • Experience with PLC programming and systems, particularly RSLogix.
  • Basic understanding of ERP systems and their applications in engineering processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
