**This is a Commission Only position**
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one fitness instruction to members desiring a program tailored to their specific needs.
- Provide blood pressures for not only members in training sessions, but also members requesting this service.
- Evaluate members’ physical fitness and track of their progress.
- Develop programs and specific exercises that provide the optimum results and includes activities the client enjoys.
- Motivate members to achieve goals.
- Create special rehabilitation programs for members who have suffered athletic injuries.
- Provide equipment usage instructions, makes necessary adjustments and answers questions about proper techniques for fitness related concerns.
- Maintain organized appearance of fitness/studio facilities in regards to free weights, stability balls and other fitness accessories.
- Maintain cleanliness of the fitness/studio facilities including sanitizing equipment, stocking linens and replacing used linens.
- Communicate concerns to Spa and Fitness Director or Coordinator on duty.
- Any and all other functions as deemed appropriate or necessary by the Director of Spa and Fitness to ensure the overall quality of the products and service delivered to the members and guests.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Must possess a thorough working knowledge of all Fitness Center equipment.
- Must be sensitive to member/guest aerobics/fitness needs and wellness related issues.
- Must possess ability to take blood pressure.
- Must possess a thorough working knowledge of the body.
- Needs a flexible schedule to work day, night, weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of computer word processing.
- Must have flexibility and knowledge to perform a variety of exercises.
Physical Requirements:
- Must present and maintain own example of physical fitness and wellness.
- Must be able to lift 20lbs over head.
Education & Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of two years experience with customer service in a country club or service oriented environment.
- Proven interpersonal communication skills and customer service techniques.
- Ability to function as a team player and through coaching and counseling.
- Must have and maintain current CPR/AED.
- Must have and maintain certification from one or more of the nationally recognized fitness organizations - ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE.
