Immigration Attorney (Bilingual)
Summary: Our firm is looking for an experienced Immigration Attorney to join our team. This position will include handling all aspects of Immigration Law including asylum, consular processing, representing clients before USCIS interviews and EOIR, removal proceedings and family-based cases. Applicants for this position must have a license to practice law and immigration experience with a proven record of success. Zealously advocating for our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Prepare and review immigration applications, motions, and briefs.
- Review and prepare immigration applications for filing with the appropriate government agency (including VAWA, I-360, T-Visa, I-914, U Visa, I-918, I-485 (LPR), I-130, I-765, I-131).
- Handle a wide range of immigration cases, including family-based immigration, asylum, removal defense, employment-based immigration, and naturalization.
- Represent clients in immigration court, administrative hearings, and interviews before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and other relevant agencies.
- Attend USCIS interviews, immigration court hearings, and other relevant agency proceedings on behalf of clients.
- Provide clients with updates on cases.
- Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and advocate on behalf of clients.
- Ensuring that information obtained during interactions with the client remains confidential
Qualifications:
- Law degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Florida.
- Minimum of five plus years of experience in Immigration Law.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of US Immigration laws, regulations, and procedures to provide accurate and up-to-date counsel for clients.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
- Must be able to draft, review legal documents
The immigration attorney must be experienced and have 5+ years of immigration experience. Speak either Spanish or Creole.
Salary: $130,000
Schedule: This position is ON-SITE in our Fort Lauderdale office, with no remote/ hybrid schedule. -
