Job description

We are seeking a dependable Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a dental assistant, enjoy working with patients of all ages, and be eager to contribute to a positive and supportive team culture. Hourly rate up to $33, based on experience. We are open to new graduates or those beginning their careers.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Endodontist during exams and procedures
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Take digital dental radiographs
• Take CBCT scans as directed
• Chart patient notes accurately and efficiently
• Educate patients about the procedures and post-operative care
• Maintain dental supply inventory and order as needed
• Create a calm, engaging atmosphere for pediatric patients

Must have's to be successful

• Experience as a Dental Assistant, new grads welcomed
• Ability to prioritize, organize and complete tasks in a timely and independent manner.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, patient-focused attitude
• Ability to work well with children and as part of a collaborative team
• Attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• Dental Certification: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certificate, OR Graduate from a formal accredited dental assisting school in accordance with Florida Administrative Code Rule: 64B5-16.002
• Must have reliable transportation and valid license
