Location: Tampa Area
Pay: Competitive, based on experience
Schedule: Part-time, 1015 hours per week MUST BE AVAILABLE 2 DAYS PER WEEK
-Infusion 4-6 hours during the day. Start time ~ 10a; infusions must be 1 day apart
-Flexible but set scheduling (e.g. Mon/Thurs OR Tues/Thurs OR Wed/Fri)
(Optional: Pick up additional Staff Nurse shifts through 5 Star Cares to increase hours)
About the Role
5 Star Cares is seeking a skilled and compassionate Infusion Nurse (RN or LPN) to join our expanding team. In this role, you will provide safe, high-quality infusion therapy in both home and clinical settings while ensuring exceptional patient care and comfort.
This position is ideal for nurses who want flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to growplus the option to pick up additional shifts as a Staff Nurse through 5 Star Cares.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer IV infusions and monitor patients throughout treatment
- Document patient responses, vital signs, and infusion progress accurately
- Maintain detailed and compliant clinical records
- Communicate updates with the care team promptly and professionally
- Follow all infection control, safety, and medication administration standards
- Educate patients and families on therapy expectations and care plans
Qualifications
- Active Florida RN or LPN license (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross)
- Minimum 2 years of recent infusion or IV therapy experience (required)
- Proficiency with PICC lines, ports, and peripheral IVs (strongly preferred)
- Excellent communication, documentation, and assessment skills
- Reliable transportation for local in-home visits
