POSITION TITLE: Electric Motor Technician
REPORTS TO: Business Manager
Founded in 1996 in Florida, and established in Maryland in 2024, Reach Services is the premier source for suspended and supported scaffolding systems and specialty hoisting services for the South Florida Area, DMV region and beyond.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
This position reports to the Business Manager and is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electric hoist motors and related equipment. The role includes both in-shop and on-site service work. Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Diagnose, service, and repair electric hoist motors
- Disassemble and reassemble motor components; identify and replace defective parts
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and pneumatic equipment
- Perform on-site service calls and make field repairs as needed
- Conduct preventive maintenance on facility equipment and machinery
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Ensure parts inventory accuracy and availability
- Use inspection checklists to verify proper function of critical components
- Deliver outstanding customer service to clients and colleagues
- Interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals accurately
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters and pressure gauges effectively
- Complete inspections in compliance with manufacturer guidelines
COMPETENCIES:
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Certified or experienced with suspended scaffold hoists, a plus and additional pay
- Proficiency in verbal and written English required
- Committed to maintaining safety standards at all times
- Able to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Organization, collaboration, multi-tasking, and attention to detail.
QUALIFICATIONS & JOB DEMANDS:
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying outdoor weather conditions
- Ability to maintain an active state issued driver’s license
- Occasional crouching, bending, and kneeling as needed
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs. and remain on feet for extended periods
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Pompano Beach, FL area
