GMF Steel Group is looking for a competitive and detail-oriented Office Engineer who has a passion for learning to join our team. This is a great entry-level opportunity for new graduates looking to get into the construction industry!
Our Office Engineer candidates are eligible for the following departments:
- Estimating
- Preconstruction
- Project Management
- Fabrication Plant
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with various business units and departments to maximize profitability of the company
- Provide financial and analytical support to the project management team
- Analyze project profitability throughout the project lifecycle, and provide findings to project management team
- Prepare proposals including structural steel, miscellaneous metals, detailing, installation/erection, and various other special conditions
- Take-off of materials, shop labor, field labor, equipment requirements
- Understand and foresee complex fabrication and erection scenarios, and adjust to account for them in bid proposal
- Evaluate all contract documents including specifications, drawings, general conditions, and special provisions
- Process information within specific timeframes to maintain efficiency and timeliness
- Manage workflows to lead and organize all project specific data and attribution to ensure consistent, complete, on-time, and accurate project completion
- Perform detailed analysis on multiple projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Microsoft Office proficiency
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, or similar
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills required
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Drafting experience, preferred
- AutoCAD experience, preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office full suite, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Salary:
- $65,000 - $76,000
- Dependent upon experience
