Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Located in Southeast Florida, this opportunity offers a full- and part-time contract position as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) within K-12 schools. Responsibilities will span early childhood through middle school populations, providing valuable speech and language services in public school settings.
Assignments typically include a primary placement at one campus, with possible schedules including:
- Dan McCarty Middle School in Ft. Pierce (4 days/week), providing full-time SLP support where no other SLP is onsite during your day. You will serve students including those in Intensive Developmental (InD) units.
- Forest Grove Middle School in Ft. Pierce (1 day/week), supplementing speech services as needed.
- Oak Hammock K-8 in Port St. Lucie (2 days/week) as an SLP supporting students alongside an SLPA, including services for a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) cluster site.
- A Private School Evaluation Team in Port St. Lucie (1 day/week) conducting evaluations at the district office, requiring certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). This evaluation role is funded through late May.
Key qualifications and requirements include:
- Active Florida licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience providing therapy across a range of pediatric age groups in school settings, preferably K-12.
- Ability to work independently, particularly when serving as the sole SLP onsite.
- Strong evaluation and diagnostic skills for speech and language disorders.
The contract spans from January 5, 2026 through June 2, 2026, with no options for hybrid or remote work; all roles are onsite. Caseload sizes vary by assignment, and schedules are flexible to accommodate full- and part-time availability.
