Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Located in Southeast Florida, this opportunity offers a full- and part-time contract position as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) within K-12 schools. Responsibilities will span early childhood through middle school populations, providing valuable speech and language services in public school settings.

Assignments typically include a primary placement at one campus, with possible schedules including:

  • Dan McCarty Middle School in Ft. Pierce (4 days/week), providing full-time SLP support where no other SLP is onsite during your day. You will serve students including those in Intensive Developmental (InD) units.
  • Forest Grove Middle School in Ft. Pierce (1 day/week), supplementing speech services as needed.
  • Oak Hammock K-8 in Port St. Lucie (2 days/week) as an SLP supporting students alongside an SLPA, including services for a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) cluster site.
  • A Private School Evaluation Team in Port St. Lucie (1 day/week) conducting evaluations at the district office, requiring certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). This evaluation role is funded through late May.

Key qualifications and requirements include:

  • Active Florida licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience providing therapy across a range of pediatric age groups in school settings, preferably K-12.
  • Ability to work independently, particularly when serving as the sole SLP onsite.
  • Strong evaluation and diagnostic skills for speech and language disorders.

The contract spans from January 5, 2026 through June 2, 2026, with no options for hybrid or remote work; all roles are onsite. Caseload sizes vary by assignment, and schedules are flexible to accommodate full- and part-time availability.

Candidates with 0 to 10+ years of school-based experience are encouraged to apply. This role provides an excellent opportunity to impact student communication skills in a supportive, school-based environment on the beautiful Southeast Florida coast.

Interested professionals are invited to submit their applications to begin the hiring process for this rewarding contract position.
