We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing insurance claims, resolving billing issues, and maintaining precise financial records.
Responsibilities:
• Address patient inquiries about billing and provide detailed explanations of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
• Collect outstanding balances from patients and resolve denied or underpaid insurance claims.
• Investigate and resolve disputes related to insurance grievances, ensuring timely claim adjustments.
• Stay updated on current medical billing practices, insurance policies, and coding standards such as ICD-10 and CPT-4.
• Utilize medical billing software and systems, with a preference for experience in Athena and Google Workspace.
• Accurately process and manage accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
• Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and internal teams to resolve billing issues.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and policies related to medical billing and collections.
• Collaborate with team members to improve billing processes and enhance operational efficiency
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical billing or collections, with orthopedic experience preferred.
• Proficiency in handling accounts receivable, billing functions, and insurance claims management.
• Strong familiarity with accounting software, CRM, ERP systems, and medical billing platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on customer service and issue resolution.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in evaluating insurance documentation and financial data.
• Ability to work efficiently with tools such as Athena and Google Workspace.
• Solid understanding of medical coding standards, including ICD-10 and CPT-4.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex billing and insurance issues.
