Schedule: Days/evenings/nights; 412 hr shifts; weekend options
Location: Clients within ~30 minutes of Clay County


Overview
Serve those who served. Assisting Hands South Jacksonville is hiring CNAs and HHAs to support military veteran clients at home. Youll provide respectful, routine-based assistance and work closely with families (and when applicable, VA-connected providers/case managers) to keep veterans safe, comfortable, and independent.

What youll do

  • 1:1 Daily Living Support: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting/incontinence care
  • Mobility & Transfers: gait belt/stand-by assist; fall-prevention practices; safe-home setup
  • Meals & Routines: simple meal prep aligned with family guidance, hydration, medication reminders (no administration)
  • Transportation & Errands: appointments, groceries, pharmacy pick-ups (per list)
  • Companionship: conversation, structured activities, routine check-ins; trauma-informed, respectful communication
  • Observations: app-based notes; observe & report changes (mood, appetite, sleep, pain, safety)
