Shop Tech/ Radio installer/School Bus Technician

Job DescriptionWe are the Thomas School Bus dealer for the State of Florida. We install accessories, inspect and make all warranty repairs on the buses prior to delivery to the Districts.

This is an entry level position in our Shop. It will be to assist the foreman, install Two Way radios and complete minor repairs.

Must have the mechanical aptitude to complete these tasks and be willing to learn all aspects of School Bus/Diesel repair.

Must have relevant experience.

Valid, Clean drivers license, background check and drug test required.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a shop setting required
• Technical school graduate preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures.
