Independent Contractor (1099)
Part-Time | Weekends
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Weekend Tennis Director to oversee and manage all tennis-related programming and activities during weekends. This independent contractor role is responsible for delivering a high-quality tennis experience for participants of all ages and skill levels while independently managing weekend operations, instruction, and program growth.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated tennis professional with strong leadership skills, a passion for the sport, and the ability to build engaging programs that drive participation and revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and direct all weekend tennis tournaments and special events
- Manage weekend schedules, court assignments, and program logistics
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for all weekend tennis activities
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and professional environment for all participants
- Communicate clearly with participants, parents, and stakeholders regarding schedules, expectations, and program updates
- Promote programs to increase registrations and overall participation
- Uphold facility rules, policies, and standards of conduct
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience directing tennis/sports programs
- Strong understanding of tennis fundamentals, drills, and instructional techniques
- Prior experience running clinics, camps, or tennis programs preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and manage programs with minimal supervision
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Schedule
- Primarily Saturdays and Sundays
- Hours vary based on program offerings, registrations, and seasonal demand
Compensation
- Average earnings of approximately $1,000 per weekend
- Earning potential of up to $3,000 per weekend, based on program size, number of registrations, and overall participation
- Lunch Expense Budget Included
- Compensation structure may include per-program, per-event, or revenue-based arrangements
- Contractor is responsible for all applicable taxes, insurance, and certifications
Independent Contractor Status
This position is classified as an independent contractor (1099) role. The Weekend Tennis Director is not an employee and is not eligible for employee benefits. The contractor maintains discretion over how services are performed, consistent with agreed-upon program standards and facility requirements.
