Join Miami Children’s Museum as an After-School Site Coordinator and take charge of leading vibrant after-school programming. This position reports both to the Miami Children’s Museum and other partner school sites in Liberty City. (Multiple positions available.)
You’ll oversee daily operations, supervise staff, implement curriculum, and foster a safe, supportive environment where students can learn, grow, and thrive. This role is essential to ensuring high-quality, compliance-ready programming that reflects our mission to inspire learning through play.
Essential Functions:
Program Management & Supervision
- Lead daily after-school programming and ensure a safe, engaging environment
- Supervise students and staff, and maintain strong relationships with families and school personnel
- Ensure program meets academic, enrichment, and compliance standards
Administrative & Operational Tasks
- Track attendance and program data using Trust Central
- Oversee supplies, equipment, and basic site logistics
- Submit site updates and assist with payroll documentation
Curriculum & Instruction Support
- Implement and support educational activities using approved curriculum
- Help instructors manage classroom behavior and student engagement
- Support training and ensure curriculum fidelity
Events & Family Engagement
- Assist in planning student showcases, family events, and staff meetings
- Ensure completion of meal/snack documentation (MDCPS)
Requirements:
- CDA Certification or an AA in education or related field.
- At least two years of experience developing educational activities.
- A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Sound verbal and writing skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must pass a Level 2 background screening (fingerprints) and drug test.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certified.
