Job Description
We are seeking an experienced IT Director to oversee our firm's technology infrastructure and ensure it efficiently and securely supports our business operations. This role requires a strong focus on compliance, cybersecurity, and strategic IT alignment within the financial services industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the firm's entire IT infrastructure, including managing the relationship with our Managed Service Provider (MSP) and all third-party technology vendors.
- Serve as the main escalation point for all technology-related issues and incidents, working closely with the MSP.
- Lead the development, selection, and implementation of new hardware and software to improve operational efficiency.
- Manage the IT budget to ensure cost-effective technology solutions
- Develop and enforce robust cybersecurity measures to safeguard sensitive firm data.
- Proactively assess and mitigate technology-related risks.
- Manage relationships with all technology vendors, holding them accountable for performance, security standards, and service terms.
- Identify opportunities for technological innovation that align with the firm's business goals.
- Participate in committee and executive-level discussions, providing expert input and regular reports on IT initiatives.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor of Science in IT, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Information Technology; experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in network administration, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and IT infrastructure management.
- Strong understanding of the specific IT needs and regulatory requirements for financial advisory firms.
- Proven ability to align IT strategy with overall business objectives.
