Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Were seeking an experienced Interim Director of Pharmacy to step into a key leadership role at a hospital in Naples, FL. This contract position is ideal for a pharmacy leader with strong inpatient experience, confident munication skills, and the ability to guide a team through a transitional period.
This is a full-time assignment offering petitive weekly pay and full-time benefits such as medical, dental, vision, etc.
Assignment Overview

Start: ASAP

Duration: Until a permanent hire is selected (estimated 48+ weeks)

Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM

No weekends

No on-call

Responsibilities

Oversee daily pharmacy operations as Interim Director of Pharmacy and serve as PIC
-
Manage pharmacist scheduling and workload distribution
-
Ensure regulatory pliance and maintain accreditation standards

Lead and coach frontline pharmacy staff

Collaborate closely with nursing partners and hospital leadership

Support drug diversion investigations
-
Participate in required meetings and administrative duties
-
Maintain effective and efficient pharmacy workflows
Required Qualifications
-
Active Florida Pharmacist License
-
Florida Consultant Pharmacist License preferred (required for PIC responsibilities)

Minimum 5 years inpatient hospital pharmacy experience

Minimum 2 years pharmacy management or leadership experience

Strong delegation, munication, and workflow management skills

Familiarity with Epic for order entry

Ability to work effectively with a team of 15 pharmacist FTEs and 16 technician FTEs
Additional Site Information

Automation: Omnicell (no prior experience required)

Specialty areas include pediatrics, internal medicine, orthopedics, and some gyn/onc

Technicians support operational tasks, med delivery, tray stocking, and automation

Training provided through site orientation and shadowing other leaders
