Ideal candidate must be outgoing and personable & having prior Assisted Living experience is a plus, but not required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receptionist provides assistance to residents in a manner conducive to the comfort and safety of residents in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations, and are delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties by the ED or other assigned supervisory personnel to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.
Education and/or Experience: The ability to read, write, speak clearly and follow
written and oral instructions.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: High School Diploma
Other skills and Abilities: Must be aware and understand the needs of the elderly.
Must be able to recognize unusual behavior or physical condition of residents and report
those observances to the resident care supervisor. Be thoroughly familiar with all
policies and procedures of the facility. Must be able to manage stress appropriately,
handle multiple priorities, make decisions under pressure, and have strong
organizational skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job position requires moderate physical demands. Duties may
include frequent walking, stooping/kneeling/bending, lifting/carrying, and pushing/pulling
during work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
- Ensure that every phone call is handled in a courteous and professional manner and that all visitors are appropriately attended to.
- Responsible for directing inquiries accordingly.
- Document any unusual events on the Daily communication Report for each work period.
- Greet all residents and visitors in the facility.
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct to proper extension or take messages.
- Fill out incident reports on residents /visitors as needed.
- Receive, sort and deliver facility mail accurately and timely.
- Assist with office duties such as typing, mail, etc.
- Verify residents fill out the sign in/out form when leaving the facility.
- Works cooperatively with facility staff.
- Reports to work on time as scheduled and consistently. demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
- Know the location and operation of all emergency equipment and systems.
- Perform all duties assigned in an effective, timely and professional manner.
- Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
- Report to work in neat, clean attire and consistently present an appropriate professional appearance according to the uniform policy.
- Maintain a professional attitude and consistently work cooperatively with residents, families, supervisor, co-workers and ancillary service providers.
- Understand and follow all company policies including the Employee Handbook.
