UHealth SoLé Mia has an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist 2 (H) position. The incumbent performs complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures through the operations of radiographic equipment to obtain the highest quality of diagnostic images with the least amount of radiation exposure. The incumbent provides diagnostic imaging in multiple specialties under applicable scope and standards of practice and within the policies, values, and mission of the organization. The Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist 2 (H) spends a minimum of 25% of time practicing in a special discipline, including Nuclear Medicine (NM), Radiation Therapy (RT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and X-ray Computed Tomography (CT).
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
Produces diagnostic imaging studies in at least two (2) specialized imaging modalities.
Specializes in all the areas of general diagnostic radiology and showcases proficiency in all areas of a specialized modality.
Maintains working knowledge of all protocols pertaining to all specified modalities along with preparation and maintenance of respective equipment, instrumentation and departmental supplies required to support quality patient care.
Utilizes established policies and protocols to perform various imaging procedures at a technical level without requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
Operates equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic and research purposes.
Sets up imaging area and uses information from exam triage form, attached referring physician order, and patient’s screening form.
Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specific areas of the body.
Educates and explains procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and ensure patient’s understanding and cooperation.
Ensures safety procedures adherence by assessing the patient physically and reviewing applicable notes and forms in the patient’s file.
Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
Oversees safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions, as necessary.
Performs daily quality assurance measurements on equipment. Reports and documents any equipment issues to the appropriate senior staff.
Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to federal and state guidelines and regulations.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent and Graduate of a Radiologic Technology accredited program
Certification and Licensing:
Certification and licensure in relevant specialty or field
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
