• Schedule and co-ordinate surgery procedures between patient, physician and hospitals
• Responsible for monitoring and maintaining and releasing block time.
• Discuss with patient pre operative and post operative instructions
• Coordinate with implant sales representatives devices for surgeries
• Ensure patient has proper Durable Medical Equipment for surgery
• Obtain all authorizations for surgeries and procedures/injections
• Check patient insurance benefits on all procedures
• Ensures that the hospital has all the required paperwork related to surgery including the patient authorization, MD orders, H&P, patient insurance cards, demographic data, and all other related data
• Schedule MRI's/CT Scan
• Able to anticipate needs before they become critical.
