Qualifications

On-site vs. remote requirements: Will consider all options/requests – on site, hybrid remote, and fully remote. Remote, if candidate is outside of commute range.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, IT management, software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, computer information systems, applied engineering, health information management (HIM), health informatics, nursing informatics, nursing, health science, education, business administration, health care, or a related field.
  • Human Resources (HR) may accept directly related work experience on a 1-year:1-year basis for required education. [NOTE: Experience credited in lieu of formal education will not be credited toward the minimum experience requirement below (i.e., the same experience will not be counted twice).]

Leadership/interpersonal skill requirements: Candidate must demonstrate proven leadership experience, including the ability to guide, mentor, and provide technical guidance to other analysts. Strong project management skills to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Knowledge of project management methodologies is a plus. Must demonstrate the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across various teams, departments, and with external vendors. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and administrators.

Required Experience:

  • Four (4) years of directly related professional experience

Progressive experience: At least 5–7 years of experience in an Epic environment. Demonstrated experience with all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, build, testing, and go-live/upgrade support.

Other Qualifications: Communication skills (critical). Problem-solving skills (critical)

Required Certification/License/Registry:

  • Related Epic certification(s) required. Multiple certifications may be required depending on functional area and job responsibilities. Required certification(s) must be obtained within ninety (90) days from last class completion. If a required certification is not obtained after three (3) examination attempts, the incumbent has a period of thirty (30) days after the last examination attempt to apply for other job opportunities within the organization. If unable to acquire another position within the organization, the incumbent’s employment with Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, Inc. (TMH) ends.

Preference: Seeking experienced Willow and Clin Doc senior analysts.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

  • Application systems expert in multiple or highly specialized phases of application systems analysis, design, implementation, and support.
  • Formulates, defines, and performs complex analysis, design, and implementation of enterprise-wide information systems (IS) functionality.
  • Responsible for Epic application modules and third party applications; designs and, customizes tables and screens; builds databases; and tests, “debugs,” upgrades, and documents information systems’ functionality under department management’s supervision.
  • Utilizes and applies knowledge of process-flow analysis and major business automation functions to evaluate such needs.
  • Designs and implements highly complex solutions using a variety of technologies in a supportable and scalable manner.
  • Mentors IT/Application Svcs Analysts.
  • Provides a secure, effective, integrated patient care delivery system that continually improves outcomes, reduces cost, increases efficiency, and enhances patients’ experiences.

Team leadership: This role is vital in supporting and optimizing the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system for Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare’s imaging services and cardiology departments. Will be one of three Senior Analysts leading a strong CORAL-B Applications team. Maintain strong positive working relationships amongst other applications and with operational partners. Positive outlook and upbeat personality are a must.

Lead projects and upgrades: Manage and lead complex system upgrades, new feature implementations, and other enhancements related to the Cupid and Radiant modules.

Optimize workflows: Collaborate with clinical and operational departments to analyze and optimize workflows, ensuring the Epic system meets business needs and improves patient care.

Manage system changes: Document, configure, and implement system changes based on user requests and organizational needs.

Develop and test solutions: Create functional specifications, develop test scripts, and perform unit, system, and integration testing.

Provide training: In coordination with a Training team - develop and deliver training to end-users on new or updated functionality.

Ensure compliance: Work to ensure the system is configured and maintained in compliance with healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA.
