What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and verify identification and/or credentials as required by site procedures; assist with screening visitors and directing them to the appropriate areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, coordination with site representatives, and requesting law enforcement and/or medical assistance when appropriate.
- Complete timely reports and documentation of patrols, incidents, and observations; communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and/or the site point of contact.
Minimum Requirements:
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR Associates Degree/60 College Credits OR Police Academy Certificate OR Corrections Academy Certificate.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
