Lead Superintendent
Position Overview
The Lead Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of safety regulations, and the ability to effectively manage teams in both multi-family and public works projects, including mid-rise and high-rise residential buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise all construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and manage the construction team, fostering a collaborative environment and addressing any issues that arise promptly and effectively.
- Ensure adherence to the project schedule and budget, implementing corrective actions as necessary to mitigate delays or cost overruns.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel.
- Monitor the quality of work performed by subcontractors and team members, ensuring that it meets the required standards and specifications.
- Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers, to keep them informed of project progress and any potential issues.
- Implement and oversee site management practices to enhance efficiency and productivity throughout the construction process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Lead Superintendent in multi-family and public works construction projects.
- OSHA 30 certification is required.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety management and quality control processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting and financial management for construction projects.
- Effective team leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams toward successful project completion.
- Familiarity with podium style construction methods is a plus.
