About the Opportunity
AppleOne is working with a well-established commercial General Contractor in Deerfield Beach that is seeking an Estimating Coordinator to support its Estimating / Pre-Construction team. This is a hands-on, administrative support role ideal for someone with prior experience in a construction office environment who enjoys working closely with subcontractors, bid documents, and project teams.
This position is on-site and offers the opportunity to transition to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide administrative support to the Estimating / Pre-Construction department
• Communicate with subcontractors via phone and email regarding bid participation
• Track and follow up on Invitations to Bid (ITBs) and bid status
• Log, organize, and maintain bid documentation and subcontractor information
• Process and track plan revisions; maintain drawing and revision logs
• Prepare and organize bid binders and estimating files
• Assist with subcontractor pre-qualification forms
• Send award and loss notifications
• Enter bid data into internal tracking systems and databases
• Order plans and supplies as needed
• Maintain organization of the estimating department and shared files
• Perform general administrative duties including scanning, copying, and data entry
Qualifications
• 1–2+ years of administrative experience, preferably within construction, estimating, or pre-construction
• Strong follow-up skills and sense of urgency
• Excellent phone, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced office environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with subcontractors or construction vendors is a plus
• Familiarity with estimating or construction software (such as PlanSwift or Pantera) is a plus but not required
Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
Work Environment
• On-site office environment with a moderate noise level
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
