Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Provide specialized respiratory therapy care in a high-acuity Neonatal Intensive Care Unit setting. This position requires competence in advanced ventilator management, including High Frequency Ventilator (JET) and Oscillator use, alongside the flexibility to float to Adult Level III NICU as needed. Work within a collaborative team focused on delivering quality care to fragile neonatal patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver respiratory therapy treatments and evaluations for neonatal patients with respiratory insufficiencies such as asthma, pneumonia, and emphysema.
  • Operate and manage specialized equipment including oxygen cylinders, nebulizers, suction machines, CPAP, and BIPAP devices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation using EMR systems, specifically Meditech preferred.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Adhere to unit protocols and support a fast-paced, critical care environment with a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications:

  • Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications along with NRP are mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2 years current acute care experience as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in a hospital setting.
  • Experience with Meditech EMR system highly preferred.
  • Ability to competently manage High Frequency Ventilation technologies such as JET and Oscillator.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
