The Generalist Medical Technologist performs a variety of routine and complex clinical laboratory tests across core lab disciplines including Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, and Coagulation. This role ensures accurate and timely results to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and STAT testing in Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, and Coagulation.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Perform quality control procedures and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Document and report test results accurately in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to clarify test orders and results.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards such as CLIA and CAP.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
- Florida Medical Technologist License.
- Minimum 2 years of generalist experience in a clinical lab setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- ASCP or AMT certification (preferred, open to eligible/registered candidates).
- Familiarity with LIS platforms such as Cerner, Epic, or Millennium is a plus.
Work Environment
This position is 100% onsite in a clinical laboratory located in Naples, FL. The role requires working as part of a laboratory team. The shift is Monday through Friday, from 3pm to 11pm. Day shift is also available 8am-5pm. You will have the opportunity to be part of a brand-new, state-of-the-art lab in Southwest Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70720.00 - $81120.00/yr.
