Job Description

About the role

As an Industrial Surface Masking Technician, you’ll be the steady hand behind every flawless finish. From the moment you review the day’s work orders, you’ll inspect and clean parts, select the right masking tapes, papers, and films, and apply them with precision to protect areas that must remain untouched by paint or coatings.

A day in your week

You’ll settle into a quiet, focused workstation and maintain a consistent, detail-driven pace. Much of your day involves careful bench work, so you should be comfortable sitting for extended periods (typically 8 hours, and up to 9 hours when production needs require). You’ll use hand and power tools to speed and refine the masking process, collaborate with teammates to stay on schedule, and keep your work area organized and safe.

Some tasks involve chemicals; you’ll work in a well-ventilated area with masks provided as part of our safety practices. You may also pitch in with basic fabrication and component assembly when needed, and you’ll rely on accurate measurements and simple math for fit and material calculations.

What you’ll do

  • Clean, inspect, and prepare surfaces before masking.
  • Apply tapes, papers, and films to shield non-finish areas.
  • Use hand and power tools to support the masking workflow.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production timelines.
  • Maintain safety protocols; keep a tidy, organized workstation.
  • Assist with basic fabrication and assembly as needed.
  • Perform basic math for measurements and material needs.
  • Work comfortably in a quiet environment while seated for long periods (8–9 hours).
  • Handle chemical-related tasks in a well-ventilated area with provided masks.

What you bring

  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and basic machining (preferred).
  • Familiarity with auto body repair techniques (plus).
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles (advantageous).
  • Ability to perform basic measurement math accurately.
  • Background in warehouse or manufacturing environments (beneficial).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
  • Team-first mindset; thrives in a fast-paced, quality-focused setting.
  • Spanish/English bilingual skills (preferred).

Role details

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Work Location: In person
  • You should be proficient in: Tape Measure Reading

If you take pride in meticulous workmanship and want to grow with a collaborative team, we encourage you to apply.
