Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team in Fort Myers, Florida. In this Contract to permanent role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the seamless operation of IT systems across the organization. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with various teams while providing top-notch technical support and contributing to the overall efficiency of the IT environment.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver prompt and effective technical support to end users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, including hardware and software.
• Oversee and troubleshoot network infrastructure components, such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Execute system updates and upgrades to enhance security and performance.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Work closely with the IT Administrator to identify and implement system improvements.
• Provide training to users on IT tools, systems, and best practices.
• Manage service desk tickets effectively, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
• Perform basic troubleshooting for Microsoft Windows systems and Active Directory environments.
• Support the setup and maintenance of hardware components and peripherals.• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support roles, with a focus on troubleshooting and system maintenance.
• Proficiency in hardware troubleshooting, Microsoft Windows 10, and Active Directory.
• Familiarity with network protocols and devices, including routers and switches.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities, with a customer-focused mindset.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are a plus.
• Experience managing service desk tickets and providing user support.
