Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and a FL or compact RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a 19-bed Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
- Care for high acuity laboring mothers and newborns
- Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1-2:1
- Requires availability for 12-hour night shifts, three shifts per week
- On-call required: 12 hours in a 6-week scheduling period
- Travelers are first to float and may be required to float to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes
- Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience is preferred
- Scrub color requirement: Galaxy Blue and/or White
- Must be comfortable managing high acuity patients in a fast-paced environment
- Orientation starts on a Friday with remote training and onsite badge/ID pickup required on the first day
- Strict 50-mile radius rule applies; candidates must not own or cosign property within 50 miles of the facility
- All requested time off must be submitted prior to offer; no RTO requests accepted after submission
- Team culture is supportive and travelers are expected to function as core staff
- Flu and COVID vaccination status may be required per facility protocols
- First-day documentation deadlines must be met

- Active FL or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
- Completion of AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course required
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring class and EFM certification preferred
- Degree from an accredited nursing program or at least 5 years of nursing experience required
