Senior Project Manager (Commercial/Multifamily GC)

Miami, FL 33155 | Full-Time | On-site | Local/Regional Candidates Preferred

A long-established South Florida General Contractor (family-founded, nearly 60 years in business) is hiring an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role owns schedule, procurement, documentation, stakeholder coordination, and cost control while partnering closely with Superintendents to deliver safe, high-quality projects on time.

The company is a well-established $25M GC entering a major growth phase through an exclusive developer partnership, with a committed pipeline expected to scale project volume toward $100M+.

What You'll Do

  • Lead owner/client, architect, engineer, consultant, subcontractor, and vendor coordination from preconstruction through closeout
  • Build, maintain, and drive detailed project schedules aligned with field sequencing and milestones
  • Interpret plans/specs and manage RFIs, submittals, clarifications, and document control
  • Support cost control and budget management
  • Lead OAC meetings, track action items, and keep stakeholders aligned on decisions and deadlines
  • Evaluate and recommend subcontractors based on scope fit, qualifications, budget, and performance
  • Lead procurement of long-lead materials/finishes and verify compliance with plans/specifications
  • Conduct site visits, resolve field discrepancies, and document/price additional scope for approval
  • Manage project risk proactively across schedule, cost, safety, and quality
  • Oversee billing progress via SOV and coordinate subcontractor payment progress with field leadership
  • Coordinate permits, inspections, and code/compliance milestones
  • Maintain complete project documentation: contracts, change orders, logs, drawings, and closeout packages
  • Support safety expectations and quality standards through final handover

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • 5+ years (or equivalent senior-level experience) as a Construction Project Manager on commercial and/or multifamily projects
  • Strong command of construction means/methods, building codes, and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to read/interpret plans, specs, contracts, schedules, RFIs, and submittals
  • Experience with budgeting, cost tracking, change management, and client-facing reporting
  • Strong leadership, coordination, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and at least one of PM platforms (Procore, Autodesk Build, Fieldwire, MS Project, or similar)
  • Ability to work on-site and perform regular field visits in active construction conditions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
    • Experience managing ground-up commercial/multifamily and complex renovation projects
    • Experience with client-facing reporting, change order negotiation, and closeout execution at scale
