Insurance Trust Services, LLC, a division of Ellis Law Group, PL, is seeking an experienced Insurance Trust Administrator to manage the day to day administration of Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts (ILITs) for attorneys, trustees, and high net worth clients nationwide.
This is a senior administrative role, not entry level. Candidates must have prior experience in legal, estate planning, trust administration, or life insurance operations.

Role Overview
The Insurance Trust Administrator is responsible for accurate, timely, and compliant administration of insurance trusts. This role requires sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with legal documents, insurance carriers, banks, and fiduciaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process incoming life insurance applications and coordinate execution and submission
- Maintain and update master lists of client insurance policies
- Open and manage new ILIT administration matters
- Review trust documents for beneficiary provisions and Crummey notice requirements
- Prepare and send premium funding request letters and follow up with clients
- Coordinate deposits into trust accounts and update trust accounting records
- Prepare and distribute Crummey notices and beneficiary correspondence
- Draft and submit premium payment correspondence to insurance carriers
- Coordinate opening of trust bank accounts
- Manage online banking and ACH collections
- Calendar and track premium payments and ACH schedules
- Prepare consents for trust transactions including policy surrenders and value changes
- Prepare ownership and beneficiary change forms for insurance policies
- Review and process incoming ILIT administration mail
- Maintain accurate records across trust administration and practice management systems
Required Experience
- Prior experience in estate planning, trust administration, ILIT administration, or life insurance operations
- Working knowledge of life insurance policies and trust structures
- Experience handling legal and financial documentation
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Direct experience with ILIT compliance and Crummey notices
- Trust accounting and banking platform experience
- Prior interaction with insurance carriers and brokerage firms
