Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver Role in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal on an armed patrol post supporting a government location, where you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, calls for service, and access concerns with clear communication. This is a driving role requiring a valid driver's license and an armed guard card or license. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset to every shift.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Patrol assigned government facilities, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes on a regular and random basis to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
- Maintain a professional armed presence in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and applicable laws, using sound judgment and de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating notifications and coordinating with site contacts and/or public partners as directed.
- Complete accurate reports and logs, document patrol activity and incidents, and communicate security-related observations to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- An armed guard card/license is required.
- Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have 2+ years' law enforcement/military/corrections experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
